You know how they say there’s always a silver lining in unfortunate events? Well, take COVID for example and the mandated stay-at-home order in March 2020. Add pregnancy on top of that and boom I had my recipe to get started with the blog I’ve always wanted to create.
I love to write and share my thoughts, as well as be a resource to the community, so I am so glad I finally took the plunge and looked past my it’s-not-good-enough mindset. Better to launch it (imperfectly) now and work on it versus getting stuck in the “paralyzing perfectionist trap”. Remote work has been a blessing in disguise. I might as well take advantage of the extra time I have, hence christyblair.com was born! Finally a creative outlet to keep my mind fulfilled.
If one has fear, there can be no initiative in the creative sense of the world. To have initiative in this sense is to do something original—to do it spontaneously, naturally, without being guided, forced, controlled. It is to do something which you love to do.

Since it’s been difficult or not even possible to catch up with close ones because of COVID, I’ve had many of my friends and family ask me how I’m doing (specifically related to my pregnancy progress) so I figured this would be a great channel to share my updates and thoughts.
Initially I was going to dedicate this space to my pregnancy journey but I want it to evolve and have much greater impact. I aim to inspire and help those around me. Can’t wait to share my journey with you all, even if it is just to inspire and document for myself. 🙂
