Helloooo third tri! I’m finally in the single digit countdown to giving birth. 9 more weeks to be exact. I’m feeling mixed emotions of excitement and (positive) anxiety. Woosah!!
Last week I pulled the trigger and decided to get a 3D/4D Ultrasound done at a private clinic in Tukwila. For those in the Seattle area, I can’t recommend Bows-r-Bowties enough! The ultrasound tech/owner navigated the ultrasound with a sense of humor and the clinic was very clean. It’s crazy how far technology has come. Check out the photos below!

As far as how I am feeling, third trimester has been a breeze. I know I’m just a few weeks into it and have heard this is the slowest trimester too. No complaints here and just thankful to be growing a healthy baby inside me. I’m excited to share some updates with you all!
Baby Girl’s Name
I don’t want to reveal the name until birth but hint hint it starts with a Z.
Due Date:
December 11, 2020 (Sagittarius baby)
Baby Size:
As long as an asparagus or as big as a coconut (according to my pregnancy apps; not sure her actual length or weight but she was measuring about a half lb. bigger than average).
Birth Plan:
I have a general idea of what I want and will be sharing that in a separate blog post in the future. I am debating between epidural or natural birth (not to be a hero, I am just terrified of an epidural for some reason). Basically I am going to go into labor & delivery with zero expectations. Whatever happens happens.
Cravings:
The sweet tooth has persisted well into third tri. I am no stranger to Frankie & Jo’s icecream and Mighty-O Donuts. What else have I been eating? Huge fan of breakfast and recently started back on the taco cravings.

Sleep:
I sleep alot but I am waking every 2 hours to go pee. In between those two hours though I have the most intense dreams. Thankfully no longer having nightmares. I’m usually in bed by 8-9pm and officially get out of bed between 6-7am to start the day.
Exercise
I’m just going to leave it at one word: nonexistent (other than multiple daily walks). I can start trying to explain myself but I really have no explanation other than lack of motivation and just not pushing myself to do it.
Body Updates:
I noticed slight acid reflux, especially in the mornings. This has not been an issue for me just interesting to deal with. Also I’m taking iron supplements now due to my most recent bloodwork showing I was slightly anemic. I’m taking these and so far they’ve been very easy on my stomach. I was overcompensating iron in the first/second trimester so only took the 18mg that was in my pre-natal but now it’s time to bump it up!
Weight Gain:
27 pounds.
Baby Updates:
Baby girl is rolling around and very active inside. I have heard that most moms feel phantom kicks post-birth and miss feeling baby kicks. I also felt hiccups for the first time last week. It is amazing what we women are capable of.

What I’ve Purchased:
Finally bought a stroller and car seat!! This is huge win for me because I’ve been overwhelmed by all the options out there and I really wanted to do my research before pulling the trigger. Uppababy Vista stroller is super popular and have seen so many moms around town with it, but I wanted to opt for something less ubiquitous. I was debating between Stokke, Mima or Cybex. I ended up purchasing the Stokke Xplory 6 stroller. For the car seat, I went went this Stokke Pippa by Nuna, and got this Stokke carrycot. I will do a full review on these products once I’ve put them to use.
Still on the To-Do List:
Oh my gosh I feel like there is so much left to do, even though there really isn’t. I’ve set up most of the nursery just waiting on the dresser. I need to sign up for birthing classes, breastfeeding classes, and take a virtual tour of the hospital (virtual due to COVID).
I also want to point out that it took me forever to write this update so I am so glad I finally did. It’s not that work has been too overwhelming or anything I just didn’t feel that urge to write. One thing I’ve been getting better at is to just go with the flow with my blog. Hope you enjoyed reading my post. Till next time!
