Recently I’ve been in major nesting mode and have gotten most of the big furniture pieces crossed off the list. I have my visions of how I want to Feng Shui the room for good energy while working with a small space.
Now it’s time to focus on the accessories and all the details of baby girl’s room. Up until last week, I was set on turning my office into the nursery. However, due to recent events, we’ve since entertained the idea of possibly selling my townhome and looking for a house, maybe someplace on the eastside or out of the city. With the current work from home situation and drastic change in lifestyle with pregnancy and COVID, it doesn’t really make sense for us to live near downtown Seattle and Capitol Hill as much anymore. TBD…
As for the colors of the nursery, I’m very into muted pinks and beige neutrals with gold accents. I want a girly yet sophisticated feel to it versus a loud pink look. Pink is my favorite color so there is no doubt I’m escaping that. We are planning for baby girl to sleep in our room in a bassinet for the first month or two and really until we’re comfortable moving her into the crib. I’ve been eyeing the Snoo bassinet but worry that may train baby to constantly seek those calming womb rhythms…any mamas have thoughts on this?
Here’s what I’ve purchased or have on my list to purchase so far:

Inspired by Joanna Gaines to use this luggage to store baby’s keepsakes then give to baby when she is older.
There’s so much more on my list that I actually need to buy, including a glider. I can’t wait to reveal the final look when it’s time!!
My favorite retailers/sites to visit for inspiration have been Pottery Barn Kids, Spinkie, Maisonette, and RH Baby.
